My Festival Look with Mac Cosmetics, Urban Decay & House of Fraser

I love the summer time, lighter days, warmer mornings and lots of beautiful sunshine, not forgetting the all important music festivals around the UK! This year I am heading to the Secret Garden Party Festival in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire; it was a bit last minute as I was asked to review the festival for last week and in return I would get two free tickets with media passes - nice one!

So my collaboration with House of Fraser, Mac Cosmetics and Urban Decay fitted in nicely as they asked me to come up with a festival look for this summer! I had to choose a range of Mac & Urban Decay products (which by the way, was really hard!) and create something fun for the summer. My friend Charlotte Long is a make-up artist and specialises in bridal make-up, however, she loves something a bit different and was happy to try something a bit different.

Urban Decay High Colour Lipgloss in 'Scandal'

We decided to incorporate these products with some of Charlie's too, creating the perfect look for a festival. Our final decision was to go for a purple look on the eyes with a pop of colour on the cheeks with the help from the Urban Decay Afterglow Powder Blush.

The Festival Look

This is everything Charlie used to create this amazing festival look, she did good!

Firstly,  Charlie applied light moisturiser all over my face - we used Olay day moisturiser.

She then used the camouflage concealer by Dermablend underneath the eyes and on my blemishes.

After this she applied the MAC NW10 foundation all over my face with a foundation brush and cosmetic sponge to blend it in.

Once full coverage was complete, she applied the MAC Prep & Prime powder to seal in the foundation.

She then applied eyeshadow shields, this prevented any eyeshadow going onto my skin.

After she applied the shields, she applied Urban Decay eyeshadow primer all over the eyelid.

Charlie then pressed the MAC Stars & Rockets all over the eyelid with the MAC 233 brush.

She then applied the MAC Indian Ink eyeshadow all over the eyelid, blending it in with the MAC 233 brush and pressing the eyeshadow into the corners of my eyes. Charlie then used the MAC 271 brush to blend the eyeshadow out, putting it into a 'V' shape in the corner of my eye.

She then applied the LA Splashproof eyeshdaow sealer and pressed the Urban Decay Moondust eyeshadow in Solstice all over the eyelids.

Charlie then applied the MAC Fluidline in Black Track  into the lash line and used a cotton bud to give it a smokey effect. She then applied the  L'oreal Collagen Mascara to my eyelashes. Apparently the gel liner lasts all night, perfect for a festival!

To give my eyebrows a bit of life, Charlie applied Marvel Brow Powder to my eyebrows.

For one of the final touches to my face, she applied the Urban Decay Afterglow Powder Blush in Score with a Real Techniques blusher brush.

She then used a lip brush to apply the MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick!

So... this was me before...

And this was me afterwards...

Get Perfect Nails with imPRESS Nails

I do love my nails, but we have a bit of a love, hate relationship. Some months I can have the most perfect, strong, long nails but other months I've been the ultimate nail criminal and bitten them down :( I know, I know, it's an awful habit to have but sometimes I just can't help it!

So it's not very nice when you know you're going on a night out or you just want to have pretty nails but you have stumps for finger nails! I was excited when I got the chance to team up with imPRESS and try out their awesome range of press on nails.

They have a wide variety of different designs including the Swept away* and Bells & Wishes* designs which I received in the post.

So far I have only tried the Bells & Wishes design (right) and was really happy with how easy they were to put on and use. The box contains 24 nails, 6 accent nails, 12 nail sizes, prep pad, mini file and a manicure stick. There is no glue involved, zero dry time required and are easy to remove when you decide to take them off.

I love the cute accent nails!

A very easy step by step guide on how to put the nails on.

The great benefit of the imPRESS nails is that they are waterproof, so even if you do the washing up or take a shower, they are very resilient!

Although they are really easy to put on, some of my nails looked a bit odd, that was down to my wobble hand more than anything.

They were still looking good after 4 hours of writing blogs at work - they lasted a good 5 days and would definitely use them again. I'm looking forward to trying the Swept Away nail design soon!

Do you like using press on nails? Have you tried these before?

My Morning Routine with Magnitone

Weirdly enough when I was younger, I never had bad skin but as I got older my skin got really bad, to the point that I had to take roaccutane (the controversial drug to get rid of acne) and since then my skin has been okay, apart from a few spots here and there.

When I got my hands on the Magnitone Lucid*, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about as I heard some really good reviews and according to the advert, Pixie Lott loves it! Magnitone say that your skin will feel softer, clearer and brighter in 7 days and to be honest, it has worked.

From day one my skin felt seriously soft and I was really impressed, the next day I did come out with a few spots but I have been going to the gym a bit more often, so that could explain it! The Magnitone is really easy to use and is waterproof so can be used in the bath or shower.

To use the Magnitone all you have to do is wash your face, apply your favourite face wash and turn your Magnitone on. It has two settings, sensitive and deep clean, they say to use the sensitive mode if you are seeing a few spots come to the surface but that is due to all the nasty stuff coming out of your skin. Within 5-7 days your skin starts to look brand new, it's truly amazing.

Once you know which setting is best for your skin, start off by placing the Magnitone on your forehead and going backwards and forwards until it beeps. Move on to your cheeks in a circular motion from ear to cheek (10 seconds on each cheek) then once it beeps again, go around the other parts of your face you want to cleanse. The entire process takes 1 minute which is great if you are in a hurry but still want to cleanse your skin!

It comes with wireless travel charger and Magnitone recommend that you charge it for 24 hours. It also comes in a range of different colours too, mines in 'plush pink'!

The head of the Magnitone comes off easily, making it simple for you to clean. I am so in love with this product, I can't praise it enough! If you want brand new skin or suffer with spots, I seriously recommend purchasing one of these, it will change your LIFE!

Courtypeach xoxo

Have you tried the Magnitone Lucid? How do you find it?

The Travalo: The Perfect Solution for Holidays

I have already been on holiday once this year and may I add the first ever holiday I've had with my boyfriend. We went to Crete and it was fab! As part of my boyfriends birthday present, I have booked us a trip to Berlin and I intend on using my Travalo portable fragrance* accessory during the holiday.

It's been designed so you can take perfume on holiday or put in your handbag without lugging around the giant bottle your perfume comes in. It holds 5ml of spray which is the equivalent of 65 sprays and is only 86mm tall. It is in a nifty little container and is simple to fill.

I chose to fill it up with my Escada Sentiment perfume. All you have to do it place the Travalo on top of the bottle (after you've taken off the spray topper) and pump the Travalo multiple times until its full - You can tell if it's full as there is a window which indicates how much you've put in.

I love the fact it's aircraft approved so you can put it in your hand luggage. It's annoying when you can't bring your favourite perfume on holiday with you!

Now that I have filled my Travalo up, I shall be keeping it in my hand bag for those moments when I need it :)

They can in many colours, so there's a style to suit everyone! You can buy the Travalo online or at Debenhams for £12.49.

What do you think about the Travalo?

Timeless Truth Face Mask Review

I love a bit of pampering every once in a while and so treated myself to a night of just that. A few months back I went to the Bloggers Hub event at the Kanaloa Bar in London and it was rammed with bloggers, models and brands!

One of the brands I came across was Timeless Truth Beauty Face Masks, they are mid-range face mask brand and are available in different natural oils and cleansers depending on your preference.

I was given the Green Tea Phenol Soothing Mask -  this is ideal for people who suffer with spots, acne or oily skin. Seeing as I used to have really bad skin, this was a good choice for me.
I thought it was going to be tricky to put onto my face but it was really simple. They are instructions on the back, so you can't really go wrong.

As soon as it goes on your face you instantly feel this cool (and slightly wet) sensation but it feels great. I sat and watched my favourite TV show for 20-30 minutes and then took it off.

It does make you look like Shrek, but it's worth it! My boyfriend freaked out when he saw me.

Take a look at the video below for more information on the brand:

I would definitely buy one of these, it's important to pamper yourself at least once a month and this really did my skin some good!

Do you like to pamper yourself? What do you do to relax?
